We welcome you to the website of Suncoast Florida Presbytery. It grew out of the Southwest Florida Presbytery in the Tampa-Maitland areas of Florida.

Suncoast Florida Presbytery was formed in June 2004. Since then we have planted two Anglo churches and started two Hispanic and one Haitian church plant.

The Suncoast (the Gulf Coast-southwestern region of the peninsula-of Florida) is an area of the country which is experiencing explosive growth. The Hispanic and Haitian communities are growing even more rapidly than the flocking to the land of sunshine from the northern States. The challenges to plant churches to meet the growing multicultural population are great opportunities for us. We are grateful that the Lord is enabling us to be agents of His redemption, as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ among people who can often be distracted by the sun, sand, and sea.
